The experience based on the first real hydrogen projects increases and we see that typical zero or low-carbon projects are structurally more complex than usual fossil projects. The organizational effort and the number of involved OEMs is higher, while especially newer OEMs lack the experience in complex large-scale projects.
Also the EPCM-efforts are higher, the sources of error more numerous and especially mistakes in the FEED-phase, concluding in negative long term effects. This presentation will present case-studies from projects that AFRY has worked on.
