Air Liquide's Trailblazer 20 MW PEM project - lessons learned from execution and the first year of operation

Beginning of 2024, Air Liquide has put its 20 MW PEM electrolyzer project "Trailblazer" in Oberhausen, Germany into trial operation. This fast track project supports the decarbonization of our asset fleet in Germany, is a cornerstone of our partnership with Siemens Energy and is significantly speeding up the learning process on an industrial scale. It also serves as a pilot for the 200 MW project in the Normandhy, for which we have already taken FID in September 2023.
We are going to share real world experience and lessons learned throughout all project phases.
