SAMBA Pro PV-1 - Equipment for dome reinforcements on H2 tanks
Dome reinforcements enable up to 15% material and cost savings while simultaneously increasing the storage volume. Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) is the first robot-based technology that places dome reinforcements directly on vessel liners – efficient, precise, and scalable.
Our SAMBA Pro PV-1 system features two placement robots and material feeding units to reinforce both domes of a composite tank simultaneously. Camera-based quality inspection guarantee that only in-spec material is placed precisely on the vessel liner. Post-processing after the reinforcement lay-up is not necessary; the reinforced liner is ready for filament winding directly after the reinforcement lay-up. This boots overall production efficiency and leads to shorter takt times.
SAMBA Pro PV-1 can be combined with all established wet or towpreg winding processes and comes with our CAD-CAM Software ARTIST STUDIO for reinforcement design and automated robot path planning. We also offer engineering support to integrate dome reinforcements into vessel designs.
