The global climate targets require, among other things, a massive reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, including in aviation. Hydrogen as an alternative energy source for aircraft appears to be a promising solution, as it causes hardly any climate-damaging emissions compared to paraffin. One of the biggest challenges lies in the storage of liquid hydrogen (LH2) at cryogenic temperatures. Efficient and safe LH2 storage systems are crucial. The hydrogen strategy field helps with this.
