Gasunie serves the public interest and facilitates the energy transition by providing integrated infrastructure services. In the Netherlands and the northern part of Germany, Gasunie operates infrastructure for the large-scale transport, storage and quality conversion of gas. At the moment, this is mainly natural gas, but the energy transition is increasingly bringing about a shift towards hydrogen and CO2. Our infrastructure, services and geographical position place us at the heart of the north-western European energy market.
By developing infrastructure for new energy in the Netherlands and Germany – in close cooperation with the other North Sea countries – Gasunie is helping to maintain the strong position as a significant energy hub and gateway for energy flows to north-western Europe. This position is vital for an affordable, reliable energy supply in the region.
