Protium Green Solutions is the largest privately funded green hydrogen firm in the UK, expanding its services into Europe in 2023. Our ambition is to build 1GW of green hydrogen production capacity by 2030.

Founded in 2019, we have been working with government and industry to develop the frameworks and technical solutions to help organisations integrate green hydrogen infrastructure into their operations.

One of the first British companies to produce green hydrogen for commercial use, Protium has been supporting fleet, transport trials, construction applications, NRMM, manufacturing and off grid power – alongside supporting customer projects including for off-grid power generation and static power applications. Protium’s first hydrogen production facility (HPF), Pioneer 1, opened in March 2023, with a second HPF planned to open in Q4 2024.
