AFT Fluorotec exhibited at the recent Hydrogen Technology Expo, which was held in Hamburg a couple of weeks ago. Visitors at the Expo were able to talk to us at our stand, where we showcased our new reinforced ETFE fluoropolymer coating we have developed. The coating is designed to be applied to the internal surfaces of the electrolyte solution system for KOH process pipework system (process pipework, vessels, filter housings etc). Our unique coating has been designed to withstand KOH solutions at elevated temperatures - H2 and O2 saturated. It is resistant to KOH solutions in AWE process system pressures of 10 bar, temperatures up to 100oC, and KOH concentrations over 50%.

Our coatings and technology have been used for AWE hydrogen production projects throughout Europe and the Middle East. They can be tailored to requirements and applied at thicknesses from 0.8mm to 2mm. Adding ETFE reinforced coatings helps increase operational efficiency, protects the equipment and increases its lifespan.
