An NCR hydrogen refuelling station will be powered by 3.8MW electrolysers supplied by Jakson Green

A 3.8Mw electrolyser was recently delivered to India’s National Capital Region (NCR). This electrolyser is intended for use at a hydrogen refuelling station and it was supplied by Jakson Green Infinity.

This is an excellent step forwards within the hydrogen industry for India, as the new refuelling station will be one of the first stations that is dedicated exclusively to hydrogen. This station will build on the progress that has been made by the station in Leh, Ladakh, that was recently created by Amara Raja.

It was at the facility in India, specifically, Greater Noida, that this alkaline electrolyser was created and so far it has shown significant promise, as it is capable of 300MW. Furthermore, it has been designed to ‘meet the increasing demand for electrolysers in the Indian market.’

Managing Director and CEO at parent company Jakson Green, Bikesh Ogra commented that, ‘the new facility will propel India’s low-carbon journey.’

Ogra stated, “Our project reinforces hydrogen’s crucial role as a new energy transition fuel, reducing India’s dependence on imported crude oil and minimising pollution. This sets us apart as a pioneering player in electrolyser manufacturing, and we remain committed to building infrastructure that promotes hydrogen-fuelled vehicles.”

Head of Manufacturing at Jakson Green Infinity, Bhaskar Bose, mentioned, “Given the novelty of this technology in India, we faced unique challenges in establishing efficient in-house operations. However, through meticulous planning, rigorous testing, and the dedication of our skilled team, we have overcome these hurdles and delivered electrolysers that meet the highest industry standards.”
