Max Pirkl leads the sales of compressors for decarbonization applications, industries, and downstream operations in the Transformation of Industry, Compression division at Siemens Energy. This includes compression systems for green hydrogen, CCS, storage, and heat pumps. Siemens Energy is a key player in the energy transition, offering solutions for renewable and conventional electricity production, transportation and distribution, hydrogen generation, and industry decarbonization. Max has a strong background in rotating equipment and international sales management and has also covered leading roles in large power generation sales, corporate strategy development, and industrial service. He holds an MBA and a mechanical engineering degree from the Technical University of Munich.
