Mike Blicker
Project Coordinator „Northern German Living Lab“,

Dipl.-Ing. Mike Blicker has been a member of the management team of the Competence Center for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (CC4E) of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) since 2018. Since 2023, he has been project coordinator of the joint project “Northern German Living Lab”, bringing together 50 partners from the energy sector, science, industry and politics on their path to climate neutrality.
Before working at the HAW Hamburg he worked at Fraunhofer for 10 years in the thematic field of heat storage systems, energy efficiency and process engineering. As project manager and coordinator he was involved in several national and international projects where he gained knowledge in the area of applied research in multidisciplinary teams. His field of research is the integration of renewable energies in different sectors of energy consumption, e.g. sector coupling. He worked in several projects with the focus on generation and usage of green hydrogen as well as Power-to-X and carbon capture technologies.
